Emergency Weather Information & Forecasts


WWG-51 - NOAA Weather Radio, a continuous broadcast of routine weather forecast and emergency weather information operated by the National Weather Service, is now available in Warren County.

Weather information originating from the National Weather Forecast Office in State College is broadcast from WEC tower facilities located in Watson Township near Youngsville, PA.

NOAA Weather Radio operating on a frequency of 162.450 megahertz (MHz) at 1KW of power provides broadcast coverage to a large part of Warren, Forest and McKean counties as well as northern sections of Elk, Clarion and Jefferson Counties.

Some of the routine and emergency weather products that are available include:

  • Warnings
  • Special Weather Statements
  • Short Term Forecasts
  • Current Weather
  • Weather Summaries

Your co-op played a big part in bringing these storm alerts, forecasts and travel advisories to our area. We hope you will take advantage of this technology which targets emergency information to our specific area.

Be Prepared with a Weather Radio Receiver

The station, broadcasting at 162.450 MHz, can be received by a Weather Radio. RadioShack® has many different types of receivers available with a prices ranging from $19.99 to $79.99.
